If you think it is factory, I can run your VIN and tell you the factory gears.

Its easy to convert, if you can pull an axle shaft, you have it covered. Same process.
I prefer 44s, there is really only a very small amount of difference between the 2. The real objective is to only build rig as many times as necessary, not as many times as possible.![]()
Opinions on this? Or should I wait and find a set with a Dana 44?

Newer axles have a different wheel pattern for the 8 lug and larger studs
The problem I am noticing is, this stuff just shows up here very rarely. And Vegas is sort of an island out here. If it's not on the local craigslist, you are driving at least 4 hours to LA. If you are lucky.
I have been watching for awhile now. They just don't show up.

A 4 hour drive might be worth it to get exactly what you want.... 8 hours of drive time plus gas or 8 hours of wrenching switch gears, hub, brake, etc. Miscellaneous cost of parts.... Could be a push for you....
Ehh. I have been building a truck, 1,000 miles away from where I live for three years now. I have found different ways to look at it because of this.lol, never thought of it that way. Good point.
Do you have a way of looking up RPO codes? 2 of my rigs do not appear to have RPO tags on them...
