Agreed, ditch the gasket and use rightstuff
Used rtv only when I did mine.. No leaky.
I've never seen them in person but what's so great about lubelocker gaskets? Are they reusable?

My build thread has an index on the first page
They go on dry (easy to remove) and have more compressability compared to paper gaskets. They're also pretty hard to tear (metal core). So they're supposed to be infinitely reusable. They may be overpriced, but I'm quite happy with mine.
It's cool man. I've got ten bolts too. Lube locker is excellent. Little spots of rtv to keep it stuck in place on the diff side. This has been off 8 or 9 times now. No leakys.

I used that type of gasket on the primary case for my Harley. Kept that oil filled case from leaking, and was reusable.

Awsome build! I like the blue and white I am starting to build mine. It's an 86 I plan on ls swapping it mild lift etc... awsome build!
