I understand running a server does cost money but the amount they are asking is unreasonable. They would have better success at a lower rate instead of no revenue at all.

I cancelled my subscription and downloaded all my content.

What's irritating is they had to have seen it coming. It would have been so much better if they would have made the paid subscription requirement incremental. If they had started at $25-$50/year five years ago they wouldn't need to try and charge $400 now.

I was just reading on the site and because I was doing the ad-free subscription, I will get to keep the 3rd party hosting until Dec 31, 2018 as long as I continue my account. So I guess I need to work on getting photos switched over; at least I have some time.

What a nightmare...I've got all my photos downloaded. Will have to go to each post in the thread that has a linked photo....click on it (it gives you the name of the photo in the link....then search in the downloaded folder for it and upload it....we'll see

My app still shows my pics and I'm post PB email. Did you get logged out of the app?

Is there any way to save a current thread with all the pics still working to my computer by something like screenshoting every page, but something bigger and faster? I still haven't received the email, but know it's just a matter of time. Like most, I have always uploaded a ton of progress pics in my thread and if it dies tomorrow, it would be dead forever.

Maybe, if I had a screenshot of the entire thread and what pic went where and on what post............... and I'm not doing anything for a couple of weeks, I could possibly fix it. I don't know, just thinking on how the threads could be possibly saved.

How do you download your pics from PB? I have most of them on my PC but there are a few that I need to retrieve before I close my PB account.

click on your "bucket" or any 'albums" and look over to the right there is a download link that zips and downloads them. If you don't download them from PhotoBucket I don't know how you'd ever know which photos go where because the only way to know is by looking at the link and matching it to the photo filename.

....and if your folder has 2900 photos, the download / .zip procedure doesn't seem to work at all. I've tried about 5 times and the 3GB zip folder is always empty.
