Tasted horrible and I love game meat. Had a real lanolin smell to the meat I just couldn't get over. I hear if you get a young one they are good though.

Heres a pic of a 400 lb feral hog shot on my place in July 2006. I shot him with a 300 win mag and he still ran 70 yards or better. It was about 114 degrees that afternoon but it was worth it.

A couple of fox squirrels from last weekend. Also, one of my younger cousins demonstrating what proper shot placement with a .17HMR will do to one of the little critters.

Wow I did't know you could take beaver anywhere in the U.S. I know nutria are greatly hated and just a pest but beaver huh? The only beaver hunting i thought you could do happened in a smokey poorly lit bar room by coyotes who'd chew off all appendages to escape the next morning from the evil snare of said beaver....

Oops messed the order up...
Wifes first buck

Got some more Deer pics and a bunch of fishing pics if i ever get them sorted out ill post them

Your wife's first buck, nice little 3x3 grew up to a nice big 3x3 for her second one. Good job!

yeah she didnt have much luck earlier in the year. It was her first year hunting and she stalked within 15 yards of a nice 8 pointer in October and missed the shot with her bow. We went opening day of rifle season and she missed a 70yd shot on a 160 inch buck. She was upset and discouraged and said she wasnt ever going again. She finally went by herself on the last day of season in the evening and got that little buck with a 150 yd shot. she was excited and proud because she did it all herself. I am very fortunate to have a wife that enjoys hunting and fishing as much as i do:D

Lucky man! My wife supports my hunting and eats the venison, but she couldn't kill the cute little doe-eyed creatures. Very impressive deer from both of you, I'm jealous!

Thanks Yeah she will catch, shoot, kill, clean, gut, and cook it but she will not eat wild game or fish. The only thing she will eat is my deer jerky. Speaking of it is about time to make some more.
