No, actually the method we used on that day was way more exciting. We started our bite using a kite rig and a flying fish - we located foamers (school breaking the surface in a feeding frenzy) and then dropped the flying fish right into them for the initial hookup. That draws the school towards the boat - then the other fishermen (the ones not on the kite) hook up throwing jigs or live bait into the school. Exciting as hell and a real trip to see in action.They look alot different than yellowfin, you catch him trolling?
We arent allowed to catch them in the gulf so alot of guys go out west as its a bucket list fish
