Pics of my Dana 60 14BFF Install

When I did mine I was going to have the same problem. I measured and what I ended up doing since I only have one jack is to lower my tire pressure way down. Then support the trans on the jack, and lower it down. Then I was able to air the tires back up and wheel the jack out with the trans on it.

Good idea......I got caught up in the moment and ASSUMED I would have enough room.....I was wrong!:D

When I took my trans out I looked at the floor jack adapter thing like you're using because I have that same Craftsman floor jack. I ended up getting a $50 Harbor Freight transmission jack instead and it worked a lot better.

It's usually the days you take off work specifically to get some work done that go so bad and you end up getting nothing done instead. Kind of like going in to work on Saturday or Sunday when you don't usually work those days. Nothing goes right and you just end up wasting your time.

Yep...looks like the tranny jack would have been a better way to roll......I just assumed it wouldnt have enough reach....I never dreamed I would not have room to get it out with this set up. Last time I did this....I was rolling on 40's with a 12" suspension lift.....and it was enough.:D

It wasnt pretty.....but i got it out.:D I am ready to head to the tranny shop on Friday to drop it off.

Can you snap a picture from the other side that show the brake line from the proportioning valve to the master cylinder. I'm try to get mine all put back in and they don't want to fit right. Just need to see how they go in the front frame rail and up.
Thanks

I am looking forward to hearing hte report once you get everything up and running with the new powerplant!

I'm already trying to figure out what anti-wrap setup he's gonna run.... I know those leaves are gonna be getting a workout with that mill....... :haha:

Well that might work for you to get it back in if necessary. Just put the trans on the jack so it just clears the frame when the jack is down, and roll it under, then after you lower the tire pressure you should be able to jack it up into place. Just don't blow a bead. I blew one bead and had to use a leaf blower combined with the air compressor to get the bead sealed back up. I learned I can't go below 3 psi while sitting there.

Be gad too. I will take a shot tonight when I get home. Just dropped off the tranny a day early!
