Pics of my Dana 60 14BFF Install

I dont know if I will get the dash before the weekend or not. If I do, I will post up pics. I have quite a bit of fab work to do on the bracket to relocate the transfer case brace. I haven't had a chance to go get the plate yet for that.

The last thing is the exhaust. I looked on Jegs and they want over $800.00 for a universal 3" 16 guage 304 stainless kit (which is a low grade of stainless). Thats no mufflers, cats, hangers or anything else. I can get the same kit in 3" alumanized steel for about $275. Do you guys know of any universal dual kits for these trucks that gives you a nice prebent pipe over the rear axle with a side exit for 3"?

Do you have a really good reason to go prebent? Other than the fact you can get mandrel bent kits?

I'd think you could do better custom....and be happier if you know a good exhaust shop.

Just my 0.02, looking great!

When I went dual 3" on mine I had to do custom. I wanted mandrel bends so I made some sketches and sent them to www.mandrelbendingsolutions.com . The also do digitization of previous pipes.

It may sound overkill(not in your case), but to make the best kit, maybe you should buy a dual 2 1/4 kit for $100. Fit the thing(makeing sure you have extra clearance everything, then send it to them. They can scan it and bend it in 3" in aluminized or stainless. And it won't be all hacked together. Call them before you proceed with that to make sure they can convert 2.25 to 3.

Other options are, Hooker makes a dual 2 1/2" in their super comp line. Or try calling torque tech or pypes. Both companies make dual 3" for about everything but our rides, maybe they have something in the back burner?

There are no good custom shops around here that can bend 3". I am going to build it myself. I when I was talking about prebent, I am talking about the "rodbuilder" kits. I just can't justify $850 vs $250 for cheap stainless vs aluminized steel. I am going to go with the aluminized 3" pipe rod builder kit and build it myself.

I guess it would take a little longer but if building it yourself is the only way your going to get what you want then that's probably the best choice.

Let me dig up some pics of the exhaust me and a buddy built for my rhino that I put a V twin Can Am Rotax in.......this project is simple compared to that deal and I did it in all stainless.:D

.065" falls between 15ga - .070" and 16ga - .0625". I got the info from a General no. 21 sheet and plate gage. Normally it's considered 16ga for tube.

Thanks Slapperbar, so the kits are comparable in thickness. You just get more pieces in the Jegs kit.

Sexy, so you went with the 160 speedo and the 10K tach in the end huh?

Dang! Looks awesome! The only thing I don't get is the 15 on the gas gauge. 15 gallons? That doesn't sound right for a Suburban tank. Can you explain?
