Ok, I decided to go a different way on my dash. I took the stock dash. Peeled all of the woodgrain off of it. Removed all of the glue and cut the back of it up so that I could put the big gauges in it. I got it all put together and put it in the truck and the gauges were pointing toward the floor. It looked cool until I put it in there. So, I got angle bezels for all the guages. I milled the two center angle bezels (they were billet aluminum) so that they would fit together. I reinstalled all of it and you could see the guages...they were pointing at the driver. I took it all back apart and shot it satin black (including the bezels) and reassembled all of it. Now the gauges point at the driver. The satin turned out WAY shinier than I wanted but I am about sick of screwing with the dash. I just didnt want to give up all of my radio space in case I want to put a bigger head unit in it.
