If you have not already found it. I'm not sure which is the dash and which is the console light. I assume it's the gray wire to the dash light.

The guy I bought my suburban from had the complete set of manuals and tossed them in.

chilton and haynes both suuuck. There fuel injection part says TOO dangerous, Take it to a technician

FYI, grey is the dimmer wire that controls the brightness of the instrument panel by turning the headlight switch.
Really? When I pulled that little plug off the fuse panel the 4wd light on the dash went out.

There is a dark green wire that comes off of the light switch rotary knob, then fused over to the gray wire that dims the lights. The one that I was looking at and pulled off has a plug that plugs into the front of the fuse panel on one of those D prongs and runs up to the 4wd light.

I picked it up under the carpet and after all of this creaking diagnostic work, the switch has gone out in the TC case. No big deal....I will order one tomorrow.
Ok, with the help of big Quervo (You day man!) I chased down my last two wires and I got the dash 100% complete and installed along with my underdash gauges and new stereo. My new head unit has Bluetooth with phone integration, usb ipod control and a wireless remote. You know it is just entirely too far to reach that extra 6" to the radio.
. I am really happy with the way it turned out. It is a far cry from stock.

First 5......I went crazy with the camera. I can't tell you guys how much time I have in this dash. I also want to give a shout out to the other members here sharing what they did. That made me change my mind on the dash I bought from classic industries and reuse my old dash. Since mine is a 91. I think the end result worked out much better. I will also make someone a deal on the classic dash if someone has an 87 model or down. It has built in guage correction and will work good on those year models.
