Pics of my Dana 60 14BFF Install

Wow, I like how it sound!
I can understand how it could be a little loud driving it, but what the h*ll.
I bet it does turn some heads.

I just got off the phone with Suncoast. They are building me a tranny. I am supposed to be there March 1st to have it installed. It's kind of a bad time to hook up with it being during the week. If everything goes right, we will be headed back Friday evening. How far is Suncoast from where you are?

I'm not exactly sure where Suncoast is, I just know it's somewhere between Pensacola and Panama City. I'm in Mobile which is where the junction of I-65 & I-10 is (I'm assuming this would be your route). If you have time to stop we could get together but I realize it'll be a late start to a long ride home if you'd rather not. Let me know what works best for you. :thumb:

Btw, after watching the video something is wrong with my computer... my mouse keeps clicking the play button over & over & over & over...

If you stand in front of the tails, it feels like someone thumping you in the chest everytime it fires off.

It's looking great! I like the side exit.

And mine does that same thing, you can feel every pressure pulse if you stand within 10 ft of the exhaust tips at idle. My friends wife walked by it when I was putting the boat in the water and she turned around real quick and said, "whoa, I thought someone grabbed my leg and then i realized it was just your exhaust! So I can imagine yours does it even more with the additional cubes!

Ok, I drove to work and various places today. I put about a 100 miles on it today. I have 3 short videos that I am posting.

The first one is me cruising 75 to 80mph on the way home in overdrive in freeway traffic with the AC on. Traffic was heavy so I could not open it up. Sorry about the camera (phone) being turned the wrong way.

The second video is just a mild takeoff from a stoplight and then I got caught at the traintracks.

The third video is me leaving from the tracks. I just cracked the 4 barrel open. It was a little over half throttle. I ran into traffic again and I had to slow down but it gives you an idea of how it sounds. My window was up on the way home but down on the last two. Maybe I can get some wide open space and get somebody to ride with me this weekend after I get home from Suncoast to hear what it sounds like with its nutz hanging out on video.:D

I still have to finish tuning the tranny. The motor is really close. Keep in mind these are BIG magnaflow mufflers and twin cats (which I thought would have made it a sleeper....NOT!)

Leaving the train Tracks. When the gates opened, I couldn't nail it because it is a really ruff crossing and my back is still healing. I also didn't want to tear something up bouncing the rear end across the tracks pouring 650hp to it. Keep in mind that I didn't even turn the motor up over 4,000 rpm. Its making 667 ft/lb at 4,000rpm and only 508hp. The torque is in its sweetspot but it has another 150 hp to go on its way to 5400-5500.

I also weighed it when I went out for lunch. It tipped the scales at 6,620#'s with a buddy that weights 175#'s. So net weight with a full tank and no peeps is 6,445#'s.

That thing sounds MEAN! You got up to 70 pretty quick for a big honkin burban too!:eek1: Love it!

Sounds real mean.
Whats up with the horn button, it doesn't look straight.

AWESOME setup! Almost perfect 50/50 weight distribution, but please don't jump that thing. I would like to see a vid from the outside though from launch.

Wow, I just read this thread from start to finish. That took a couple hours. Nice build.

At what point do you compare those 2? No part of this build was supposed to be sensible, get good mileage, etc. He wanted a bad ass big block.... And that's what he got! To each his own!

not to mention a highly built twin turbo would be just as costly and I highly doubt as fast as a 572 can do ya.... stump puller, sure... light to light, doubtful...
