Pics of my Dana 60 14BFF Install

well, considering the cost of quality turbo's....

yeah, all the pro stocks at englishtown should be running 6BT's....

Keep on with the back and forth! Im really curious to see if gas or diesel is better! LOL!!!

But seriously, rj, He could have done whatever he wanted in there obviously. He did what he wanted. Im sure he knows all the benefits of a cummins.

My only question is.....

Why spend all that money on a 572 when you could of built an o-ringed, twin turbo'd Cummins that would get WAY better mileage, be more streetable, easier to keep cool, and make the burb FASTER than it would be with a 572? Not to mention you would probably still have cash left over....

Just a thought....:haha:

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Really? It's his build and done the way he wanted it done. There isn't ANY reason for you bad mouth it like a douche from pirate (IE you're build sucks and you should have done it this way). There's always that one guy and you're being him. There's no need for you to be jealous, or is there?

Just enjoy the fact that he shared his awesome build with the brotherhood.

Yeah he has a Dmax that he has tweaked pretty well, I am sure he is aware of diesels' torque, etc. Personally I like the big block better, no way would I trade his big block for a cummins, it's not his tow rig. I bet it will beat his Dmax in a drag race too. I'm with Ryoken...(and I have raced several diesels in the sand drags, including some cranked up ones, and some that were "rollin' smoke" , they didn't win). I am sure there are some out there that would beat me that are really cranked up, but I would still have more fun driving my big block, and I have driven several newer diesels. They are awesome for towing, and pulling, not racing.

Wait...... I missed the part where I told him that he did it WRONG, and SHOULD have done it a different way. Where was that part again?

I simply asked why he went with what he did. I don't see the problem with that.:dunno:

Have you seen his toys??? Just wondering? You may be very wrong.

edit: looks like you edited your post before I replied.

Go reread your post and ask yourself again if you are not dropping a load of **** his efforts.

bla bla bla could have been better and way cheaper, more mileage, kick your ass at the drag strip with a diesel, my idea is way better then what you did, why spend all that money bla bla bla pirate 4x4 all day long.

That suburban is just awesome the way it sits and there's no need to try and one up someone on these forums. As long as you have been here I figured you'd know that.

Just hi5 him and move on. damn.

If you think another build is so great build that **** and we'll hi5 you rather then tearing it down.

yup, the post was condescending and snarky....

and Bob, your full of it.. I'd bet the bank his BB'd Burb would SMOKE any Dodge Cummins pickup you've had in a race...

Didn't he build the 572 to eventually put a blower on it anyways? I think I remember that he wanted to do that, but I could be wrong.

doesn't matter anyway, cuz that Cummins is a better hotrod motor and would dog it light to light....

Good grief, it's amazing how one post can screw up a great thread. :surepal:

Y'all will have to excuse me me while I hijack this back to Thunderusone....

I just got off the phone with Suncoast. They are building me a tranny. I am supposed to be there March 1st to have it installed. It's kind of a bad time to hook up with it being during the week. If everything goes right, we will be headed back Friday evening. How far is Suncoast from where you are?

So did you make it down? Did you drive the dually or tow it?

I made it brother. I lost 5th completely around Montgomery. I limped in around 10 last night with the tranny running 50 degrees warmer than usual. I was at Suncoast at 8am this morning. They already have my new tranny built. I got the full build with Billet Input and Output shafts along with a Billet Flexplate on the motor. I also got the brace that goes from the TC case to the tranny. My builder George was nice enough to run me back to my room while they do the install. The drive didn't do my back any good so I didn't feel like hanging around slowing the install down telling lies while they are trying to work. I am really excited to finally have a transmission that I don't have to worry about all the time.

I really hope I can make my allison last a bit longer. Those suncoasts sure are not cheap.

Thanks Max. I am really enjoying it. I have a little more tuning on the trans and then I can't wait to go hit some trails when my back gets better.

yeah, don't push that back too hard bud... I've learned the hard way recently that there's no point to the toys if you can't enjoy them..

Is your duramax still at suncoast?

While is is there are they going to put a pump rub repair kit in the transfer case?

Good time to do it ,if it`s not done already.

The trails won't know what hit them with this beast! I know you'll be respectful, but good luck "treading lightly" with that much power :waytogo:

I took a four wheeling buddy for a ride in it. We got to talking and he was laughing saying that I don't have to worry about not being able to generate enough wheel speed to clean out the tires. If you were in two wheel drive, and stood on it, you could kill someone or a rig that was too close behind you. That is our initiation when someone new goes with us. You either get your grill packed or there is one creek crossing where you can fly by on the Drivers side and send about 5 gallons of water through the window. :D
