Pics of my Dana 60 14BFF Install

Here is a shot of the ECM. I mounted it in the glove box on the top side. That way have laptop access if I need it and I still have room in the glove box for registration. It's also out of the elements. Holley said that it could be mounted under the hood but I didn't feel good about that option.

Once the learning is complete after I do some driving, the handheld monitor will come out.

I got it fired up and the timing matched up between the ECM and motor. You have to get it running and then hold it at 2,000 rpm. With it at 2k, you match the actual engine timing with the same reading the the handheld from the ECM says. It may case that was 37 degrees. It is now locked down and ready to go drive and learn. It even idles at 850 rpm. :D. I have rain coming in and I am exhausted. I will drive it later this week and then report back.

FYI, you can turn off the "idle spark control" so that the Terminator unit holds the timing steady at idle and set it without having to rev to 2000 rpm. Sounds like you already have it sync'd, but I found it easier to do that way.

I used the same EFI on my 383, but looks like your giving it a better test of its capabilities :D. Awesome project:waytogo:
 
Thanks for the heads up on the timing 3Max. I have already set it at 2K. Based on the size cam I have and the fact that it hasnt learned much yet, I thought that the 2K rpm might be a better option. I will turn the idle spark control off and check it to make sure that it matches. Thank for the suggestion. This is totally different from what I normally use in the EFI world with the MEFI 4B. I definately have ALOT to learn to get this all dialed in.

I haven't quite finished my k5, so I'm not nearly done tuning mine either, but the Holley forums have been very helpful so far. If you haven't done so already, you may want to check them out.

Just took nearly 2 days to read this build. Nothin but major badassness. Wonder how ol Thunder is doing ?
 
I'm alive! Still got the Burb. Its doing great. Got divorced.......ran around in a full blown mid life crises for over a year, and I do mean at Hugh Hefner status......now I have a 27 year old girlfriend and I have added a couple more toys to the stable.....but cut my net worth in half! :D

How old are you? Just curious so some of us older fellas still have hope on the young gals.
 
Since you're back....

How's the sub doing a year later? Fuel injection still working good?
 
I tried.....40's. They were all head cases with kids. (No offense......I love kids). 30 to 35 all had some blubbering sob story about how some guy had done them wrong (90% of which had never been married and had an overdrawn bank acct living on credit cards..... (I did it too.......just not at that age). Im thinking......bitch I have paid enough money to have retired several years ago if I hadn't spent it on women..... Keep im mind these were all 8 to 10 level chicks on FB. I finally got fed up......of riding around 10 deep in my Outerlimits every weekend and traveling all over the country (Did I mention I went full blown Hefner on this Mid life Crisis?) I also lost 50#'s and live in the gym. #moreassthanatoiletseat. Met a girl managing the best boating place on the lake in Nashville and I asked her if she wanted to go on a boat ride when I topped off. She said absolutely not!. Ive seen you in here all summer.....and its always you and a boat load of chicks. I said if you wanna go out we will go to the Shootout at Lake of the Ozarks with just me and you. (which I won in 2010) It took some serious verbal manipulation......but we went.....had the best time I have had in 2o years and we are still together! :D
