Yeah, that fender extension job is awesome. I'd also like to see more detail on how that was done....
It definitely looks like a single vertical cut was made at the center of the fender arch, then each fender-half was pushed outward. The resulting gap was filled in with a straight fenderlip section to bridge the two parts back together.
I've seen that treatment before on the 1st Gens.... You get a little more of a "squared off" look to the fender arch, but it does get you the clearance you need for the larger tires.

- how'd you bend the tube/pipe?
- is it tied into the frame?
