I bet it’s to deal with the radio boxes or whatever they put in the beds of those. Big and packed full of heavy, tall stuff.
Pretty sure this was a factory K30.
Because of the green paint ( or mildew ? ) on the frame rail can I assume that this is a M1028xx CUCV ?
Looks like it’s got the RPO G52 extra-extra high capacity ( GM’s description not mine ) 15K main 10 stack spring pack - plus the 11TH auxiliary helper !
Stoutest Square rear spring pack setup I’ve ever seen on the ‘73~’91’s.

The frame and the sway bar have green paint
I was look’n for mildew on the other parts and the rear axle housing appears to have a little mildew in spots.
I’d just like to know if it’s a double “G52 / C7E” equipped truck or any other info on it ?
Does it have a SPID ?

It’s moss or something similar. It wasn’t a military pickup. It was a crew cab. I just saw it on a Marketplace ad a few years ago and saved the pictures because I had never noticed a rear sway bar on a K30.

Well, that may screw up the whole M1028A2 only sway bar theory…
It appears to have the “G52” spring pack that normally doesn’t come with the helper spring and the sway bar is a mind stumper for sure.
Did you get to see if it was a box delete crew cab ?
@rksjd8420 so what year was the crew cab? Do you still have the SPID or VIN?
That was pictures that I saved from a Marketplace ad. From what I remember, it was a really rusty crew cab dually with a factory bed. It was also a couple years ago so I probably don’t remember very well. It seemed to be pretty original and the only reason I saved the pictures was because I had never noticed a K30 with a factory sway bar.
