Possible carb problems dying while driving, any ideas?

One thing important to point out is that if you need anything in the front of the motor as far as power steering pump, fan belt, alt, etc. You will need to ask for parts for something like a 90 gmc jimmy. Thats what the front end accessorys are off of. Not sure if you knew that already or not.

Wait so my jimmy has parts from a 90 model? And are drive train problems obvious? I don't think there is anything wrong, it starts, shifts and drives well I just need a tire alignment I think.

Its got a serpentine belt system on it so yes it has parts from a 90s model. Not all drivetrain problems are obvious. I have said this before , go get a flashlight and inspect everything. Flashlights, well just good light ,reveal problems

No probably not obvious. I just meant like as long as the trans and rear end are good. It it runs and drives good, dont worry about it until it starts to run and drive bad!

A couple nice coats of wax and i bet it will shine that paint up real nice :thumb: Now pull up the edges of the carpet in the front and back and show us what it looks like. What did ya pay for it?

only rust spot I have..... found so far.

Fixed that for ya.

Get out a pressure washer, or at least a hose with a good nozzle, and start cleaning all the mud n crud off the wheel wells, frame, floors, axles, springs, everything under the truck. Then start looking closely at everything, especially the floors, tailgate hinge area, rockers, and the underside of the body in general. Any potential problems, take pics (good pics) and post em up so we can advise you through fixing them. Taking care of minor body issues now can save you more trouble and expense down the road.

Also, a good look at the suspension/steering/drivetrain to get it safe and reliable should be high priority. :waytogo: Just cause it runs and drives does not mean everything is 100%

Ok I'll take pictures! It's going to be looked at by a mechanic tomorrow just to see if everything checks out!
