so i was just thinking about thing that are hillbilly on my truck so if you can tell us about the most hillbilly thing that is done to your rig wether it is duck taping stuff like yor seats etc lets hear all about it with a pic .

the shifter on my colum had been hacked off so i took a peice of rebar and welded it to the stud so my tranny shifter is now a chunk of rebar, ill try and find a pic

When I bought my 'Burb it had a set of Dixie horns on it. They were thrown out of the window on the way down the street right after I got the keys.

You bad bad man . I would of bought them and used them ............ and when the novelty wore off I would of sold them on a Dodge forum :D

Where should i start? :haha: I'd prolly have to go look for something, i know i have something thats hacked in there. I had my taillight covers taped on for a while then i got 2screws to hold each side in, the other 2 places where a screw goes into are broke off. Damn PO. Pretty much anything the PO did would work. Ive fixed alot of it but still have a ways to go.

i know i started this but i used some wood boards to put my trans in over the dash then i broke my windsheild doing it lol let me find pics

I dunno what the previous owner was thinking but what am i saying, There is purple shag carpet on my headliner and I never removed it yet. After 8 years.

Forgot to mention the volvo seats they had mounted in there with a drawer in the middle that always slide open and hit the transfer case shifter. Blue interior and this seat is black. I changed that about a year ago.

Do you mean something like that truck on e-bay that had a balcony for a front bumper?

:haha: :haha: :haha:

You know I see all these replies and no pics

the list is long but distinguished:

the rear license plate is held on by speaker wire wrapped around the bumper.:haha:
i don't have a tailgate, and it's a sammy so it's pretty obvious
my turnsignals are LEDs, but i didn't retard the timing, so they blink to fast.
all 4 tires are the same size but not the same brand
holes in the floor covered with floormats
once the exhaust fell apart behind the manifold pipe, and i drove around for a couple days like that
for months i only had 1 windshield wiper working
duct tape in plain view in the interior
permanent mud stained interior
parts that are sort of structural have fallen off and i just left them off.
no front bumper (at all)
there's supposed to be 4 bolts holding the rear part of the hard top on, but only 1 really holds it on
used electrical cord to drag some stuff around. left it wrapped around hitch shackle for a week or so.
you have to shift into 2nd gear "just so" or it'll grind. syncros prolly:crazy:
speedo and odom quit. fuel guage quit too.
passenger side seat belt doens't work. i should really get that fixed...:D

i have to laugh to keep from crying. *shakes head*

One of my buddies were driving around in his Burb for a few weeks with a set of booster cables holding one rear door closed by attaching to the other on the inside. Real funny when sitting in back, like a amusement ride with the bar in front of you.

well welded front and rear and jeremy hmm i dunno? but yeah here is how i attempeted to put my trans in untill i got a quad floor jack that worked well enought for a huge busted windsheild

Exhaust rides on ebrake cable....

If it's helping to support the exhaust, then that makes it functional. Much less hillbillyish if it does.

Oh man I don't know if I should even start on the jacked up stuff the PO did to my 71 pickup. We could start with the stenciled/spraypainted "redneck" on the toolbox or the ford LTD column that he had put in there, or my all time favorite was the ratchet-strap in place of the busted drivers side motor mount. But the sheetmetal was clean so now its mine. :doah: I'll find some pics later...
