I ordered mine a couple months ago and have it sitting in the garage. I havent installed it yet and after seeing this what is the difference on the one I have and the new design.. It will be going on a 80 k5 will I have any issues with old design when istalled. Thanks

Yep, I'll send you new brackets. Originally the intention was to do the Blazer brackets right away but that kinda fell apart as I didn't get the chassis I wanted to do the setup. Just blind luck that MikeyD05's is in the shop now.

Readymix,

If you want the templates to bolt on for strengthening purposes just say the word. I don't think it would hurt to have them on there. I'll drop them in the mail for ya. Should be able to swap one side in at a tim without to much hassle.

I don't think it will be necessary really. I can't imagine it ever breaking, so there is no need to send them unless you think it would make a difference....

I will take a few bottle opener tabs when you get around to making them though:waytogo:

Hey Kert thanks for the response. I sent you an email regarding the new brackets. I tried calling the shop but you were out getting supplies. Can you send me an email with all the details. [email protected] Thanks Ramon.

All squared away!

I am a little bummed out. I was hoping to see a package on the porch today. I placed my order a week ago and called today to find out when it was shipped but it hadnt shipped yet. I guess its good that I didnt get the wrong part (i.e. the different frame mount design) but I never got an email to ask which one I needed. My Baja trip is getting closer everyday.

Kert had sort of an emergency project that rolled into the shop on Monday. He was still working on it at 12:30 last night when I left. He's a great guy and I'm sure he'll get your parts out ASAP.

Kert I received the new brackets and sent others back. Just want to say thanks I really appreciate it.

I don't know if anyone has used kert's version, but I know of other people that have used slightly different styles on burb and have worked great.

Hey eblick did you use the one for the truck or the blazer on your burb. I want to put mine on my burb but have the brackets for the blazer and want to know which ones I need. By brackets I mean the one that go on the frame.

Uh OH
Is this a Blazer kit I went to start the install this morning after having it for months and the angles looked weird. I ordered one for my pick up. That'll suck if it is. It's already powder coated. If anybody knows for sure let me know.

Looks like a blazer unit to me! Call Tracy at the office and we'll sort it out.

I haven't done one specific for a burb. We do have a couple guys using them on burbs but not sure which one they went with, the blazer or pickkup unit. eblick, up above says he has one on his. If I had a name I could look up what unit he went with.

Well a couple years ago I bought the blazer one for my burb but didnt fit dont think you remember but I had returned it and you were gonna look into making one but you were really busy around that time. The reason it didnt fit was because the burb has a body mount on rear portion of frame that it would hit on I had emailed you the pics and all but that was a couple yrs ago and I was hoping you would have one fabbed up as Im still intrested.

It was a blazer model that was used on the burb that I was refering too. I don't have any other information than that though, Sorry.
