Swap a 6.2L in it and you'll never have to worry about blowing it up!
Then the crank will snap and wipe out the transmission.
Been holding my tongue lol.
That's exactly how I did trash my 700r4.
With my 6.2 lol.
I just layed into it, didn't let up, and when she went from 1st to 2nd BOOM! Chunks inside
Took allotta beating before that day though
. With no broken crank. My 700 was built for a big block though. I just never got that swap done.As for a 4.8 swap, with some boost, I'd try and find a 200-4r on the cheap. Handles more torque and a little closer 1st-2nd.. Or spend some $$ and do a 4l80. Because snowball
. And because if you have it on there, you just KNOW the psi will keep getting a little higher

I think hotrod tv did something with a junkyard 4.8 Think it was called big bang theory or something. They thought it was a 5.3 but turned out to be a 4.8 with 2 different heads
