Project 82 TCBF -10.13.9 - progress!!!

Alright, got a question, and kind of want some feedback. I have the pickup cab wall now. So, here`s my question: Weld it in, or make it removable?

I would like to say I would, but I`m not even quite sure if I`d even take the wall out alot, if at all....help me decide guys!

Yes. the frame mounts like the stock window. the new window snaps into the frame. you can undo the clips on the inside and lean the top in to vent it or remove the entire piece of glass.

when its nice out and I'm going anywhere of any distance I take the window out. same as driving the blazer with the top off.

Got any pics of it with the window tilted and out?

It's a good idea, and im thinkin about it, cause i dont have a rear slider...

What is the materal around the glass made out of?

hi jack on. the frame work is plastic with a gasket against the cab and the window. the frame work has drain holes in it so you can vent the window when it is raining.

here is the inside of the truck. you can see the clips that hold it shut.

outside with the window vented. there is a clip to hold it in the open position but I broke it. entirely my fault. I just let it rest against the headrests on the seats.

window out.

it cost me $60 to have the local glass shop install it. you can get the glass clear or tinted, I chose the clear and then tinted it to match the side windows.

I also bought the padded storage bag but never use it. if I had anything bigger then a regular cab it would be necessary, but I just leave the glass behind the seat.

Well, they still make them, just not for pre 88 Chevy.

Whatcha guys think I should do? Half top, or p/u?

EDIT: I`m leaning more towards the P/U, to get the most use out of the bed possible.

I would do a half top.
It`s a tough decision. I like them both, because they`re different. Having both options ready to go makes it even harder....
