Project 82 TCBF -10.13.9 - progress!!!

Well, if I keep the 1/2 top the way it is, how much would I be looking at to have a glass shop make up some side windows? I want to be able to tint them, so plexiglass or acrylic wont work, and that stuff scratches too easy.

Screw it, I`m ready to buy some waterproof seat covers, pull everything someone would want to steal, put my Lokar shifter in, then leave the top off till it snows. This way I`ll have from now till then to decide what to do, sound good?:D

1/2 top for winter, topless the rest of the year!

Alright, got some seat covers on their way. I got the Sport Seat Shields from Grant, because from what I read here and else where, they are pretty darn good. I got two charcoal bucket covers, and the bench seat cover. They`ll be here tomorrow.:D

I say the 1/2 top, I really like the look of it, and I haven't seen it before. But as I have said before, I am biased, I like seeing things that are different and unique. As far as the glass, you could probably get them made pretty cheap from a glass shop, including in a tinted glass, or you could go with Lexan which doesn't scratch nearly as easily, and tends to last longer.

For the rear window, I`m using the glass that was in my blazer gate, and I`ll probably have a glass shop cut up side windows, or use smoked lexan.

Seat covers came today. Not bad little things for the money, but I decided to just keep them in the ammo can, and throw them on when I go wheelin, or I know its going to be raining when I have to drive or park my truck uncovered. I`m going to take ryoken`s advice, and have a canvas shop make me back wall with a window in it, to snap on when I`m parking the truck , or have to ride in the rain. I`m thinking about making having it made to come down the back of the cab, then go back to the wall right behind the back seat is, the same wall I`ll use for the 1/2 top. Wonder how much of a price difference it will be:confused:

Why do you have the coulum shifter still there?

I can hear car theives already, "oh crap, which shifter do I use?" :haha:

Do you still have the park/neutral safety hooked up as well? If not, you can put those wires on a switch and hide it somewhere as cheap anti-theft. I do that on all my GM's with a park or clutch switch. :D

Let`s see. Starting getting a bunch of stuff together this weekend to finish up the truck. I`ll probably get the side panels cut up today. I was pretty happy Friday night when I was looking around in all the scrap wood, etc. we moved from my other house, and I found the wall that i had originally made for the back, out of 3/4 plywood! So thats a few less cuts and one less purchase I have to make.

Got quite a bit of stuff this weekend for the truck. Lets see: 1 gallon smooth Durabak for the bed when its finished, 2 sheets of smoked plexi for the caps side windows, 6 yards x 38" of fiberglass cloth (6oz) and a gallon of polyester resin and tube of hardner for my side panel/rear wall project, 20' of 1.5" tugboat rope for pulling in the woods, a used detroit locker for my rear 10b, since I`ll be staying with 33s for quite some time, I still need to go over to the Home Depot and get the brushes, and the wood for the side panels, per ryokens order:D . Then I gotta make a call to see if my buddy has any bondo squeegie (sp?) things.

And, I got my first tattoo last night.:D
