Project 82 TCBF -10.13.9 - progress!!!

I don't understand, why do you need the square tube to mount the radiator? Are you running a custom radiator or something?
It`s a summit alluminum radiator, and the closest one I could get, was a couple inches too short, so this is how it`s remedied :wink1:

Got the dash installed, i`m a little upset that i trimmed the sides a little too much, i thought it would sit further back, and the weather strip would cover it, but you can only see it with the door opens, and it doesn`t look that bed, considering some of the factory edges on this dash, aftermarket
brings teh suck

DSCF1042.jpg

Can anyone tell me if the two holes in the front of the intake (picture above), and the two along the side of the intake ( picture below) need to plugged as well?

no none of those holes have to be plugged. they are just accessory mounting holes.

All four are for bracket mounting and do not need to be plugged.

FYI head mounting temp guages read higherthen intake mounting temp gauges so no posting later "my truck is running at 250' is it going to blow up" :D

Will that mess up the temp switch for the fan, same deal? I thought they were only a few degrees different?

thanks guys!

No it doesen't matter as long as you know that and your right its not all that much. If you realize that and set the system up that way its no big deal. I prefer the intake because it gets an overall reading instead of just one side, however I think the one in my truck right now is still in the head.

I have a temp sensor in the head for my autometer gauge and its never been above 190 and that was only because of traffic on a retardedly hot day.

yup, factory is in the head....

there's a reason you have a thermostat...

Maybe I missed the plan but above you posted pics of some parts you got from Kert for your bed... what's the plan for it? You running a full bed or just bed sides?

that stuff is what I`m using for the front and rear mounts, like what ryan (muddermilitia) used :wink1: it will be pretty much a full bed, flat bed with sides type deal...

Any ideas on what I can use to cover the edges of the dash I kind of butchered :o? Maybe like a black vinyl patch kit, and just cut it to the size of the side of the dash, and have it go as far back to the inside of the dash as possible?

That's a dangerous question around here, you could go Avery's route and have mohair on it. I would just look for a simple dash mat to protect it from the sun, and still cover the areas you are concerned about. Don't know of any patch kit that is going to do what you need here. Good luck.
