Project Caddy - 03 Escalade Build

That's badass, this should be fun to watch!

I'm trying to arrange to pick this thing up the second weekend of Feb on my way home from KOH. If it doesn't pan out, I'll grab it the 2nd weekend of March.

Oh, and the ARB bumper for the Escalade showed up today. I'll go grab it on Friday haha

What is the original application for the ARB bumper?

This is going to be cool!

Same bumper as I bought for the Z71. Its for a 100 series Landcruiser. I'll likely need to get the headlight hoops modified like I did for the Z71.

Bought escalade. It smelled. Fixed it. Bought totalled Yukon with 1 tons and a wicked suspension. Combining the two to make awesome.

Nope. If I was driving she'd come down to support me, but she is happy to let me play in the dirt by myself when I'm going in a supporting role haha!

i'm looking at possibly putting the axles from a 05 f250 4x4 super duty under a 2000 3/4 ton 4x4 chevy a got a while back and was wandering if you ever did much measuring to see how well the f250 axles would fit in there.

Awesome! You must be on cloud 10.

They are a hair on the wide side compared to the older axles, but they actually fit extremely well using all the OEM F250 bracketry on the Chevy frame. I know a guy who is currently installing F450 axles under his 06 3500HD right now and it looks nearly stock.

I'm still not quite sure that this is gonna pan out given the price, but I think I just bought a rolled 2007 LBZ Duramax truck with a meer 55,000mi on it for only $2350! The seats are gone and I have to bring my own wheels and tires but he says it runs / drives no problem. Perfect donor for the Escalade! I'd bought a 2005 LLY / ZF6 truck with 140,000mi on it last winter to use for this swap. It had issues with the clutch that took me a long time to figure out. I sold it to a buddy of mine recently and was looking for an 03/04 donor so I could use the LB7 out of Penny instead. I'll absolutely take a complete LBZ donor at a quarter of the price though!!
