Something that spools up quick and can have a little fun in every once and awhile

I haven't been able to find and hx35's for less than $600 for a rebuilt one

You can buy a good used hx35 around here for $250 CAD all day long.

I'd stress, that you don't over injector it. 12v doesn't need huge sticks to make good power.

Yeah I'm thinking about 5x.012's, I'm running a fuel plate also

Basically the only place I've found turbos were on ebay and they are usually around $400 for a used one

Haven't found anything local

I'm kind of thinking I should pull the intercooler out and flush it since it got so much oil and junk blown into it

Yes for sure do that. At Detroit, we used to clean every charge air cooler after a blown turbo. Would.run a pile of varsol through first to melt down the oil. Then blast it with a hot water pressure washer till it ran clear.

Yeah hopefully it looks good, kinda big

I'm cutting it an sectioning it at the fender openings, you can kind of tell in the last pic if you look close, the other side is cut

I'm also going to weld in a piece accross the top to fill in the gap

Yeah I can see how they don't have a deer, I don't think it will be any worse than my stock bumper though, although I did wipe out the side of a brand new challenger with it with minimal damages

I tagged a BIG buck in my 00 Ram and it faired really well, I was 3 miles into a 102mile drive and other then a loose headlight and 2 blown fog lights it was totally drivable. I hit a medium sized doe with my 11 and the bumper folded right into the intercooler and condenser .
I would think about some sort of reinforcement in-between the mounts as the middle seems pretty weak.

I might have to look into, I kind of want to make a grill of some sort to go in the hole also

I've been wanting to add tow hooks in the front but don't really see anywhere beefy enough, would probably have the same problem trying to brace the bumper

The lack of tow points on my 00 always bothered me, the +10's do have nice hooks but nothing in between except the flimsy bumper. Ive thought about bending up a DOM oval that would be hidden by the bumper and mount behind the tow hook/ bumper mounts, but haven't gotten to it yet.

I've got a bhaf and ran it for awhile, was doing some experimenting to see if I got better mpg's with the air box drawing in cool air.

Sucks the filter minder pretty far down with the old turbo

I'm thinking about going back to the bhaf, possiblhy making an air box for it

The cold air gets rammed up the fender. It's hitting the bhaf anyways. But I know.you always hear about under hood temps and blah blah blah..... you will realistically not notice any difference at all, except the sound of turbo will be much clearer. And the bhaf will last longer.
