Project Eat Soot

Well scored another piece of the puzzle yesterday! Not exactly what I wanted but it should work fine with a few tweeks here and there. Sorry for the horrible pictures but I will get it cleaned up soon.

Nothing much to report although I did get the 14 bolt rear ready to put in and got the Cummins cleaned a bit. I am really looking forward to getting it into a roller should have the Dana 60 buttoned up this weekend if all goes well. Here area few pics.

Got the 14 bolt installed over the weekend, it's coming along slowly trying to get one thing finished each weekend. I like the last pic it's a little dark but it gives a nice silhouette of the 1 tons at least.

I don't think that your actually working in that Garage. It's way too clean, like almost Greg72 clean. lol

Good job on the progress. Piece By piece, and she'll be on the road again.

Thanks Ashman for the response to the crossover steering setup, I went ahead and ordered Sky's kit it should be in Friday or Monday. I'm headed to the swap meet this weekend to look for a steering box. I finished cleaning and resealing the 60 I need to throw the hubs and brakes on yet. It also will be sitting on some tires finally in a couple weeks, then on to the frame work for mounting the Cummins. Here are a couple pics of progress.

Jeebus, you could eat off that 60!:eek1: Nice work man:bow:

Alright Gents, got few things done over the last couple weeks. I got the Sky Manufacturing crossover setup off the brown truck put the steering arm on to finish up the front end. I also ordered Redhead steering box, one problem I ran into is that the pitman arm I got with the crossover kit did not work on that box. Don't know what I did wrong still have to check that out or steering would have been on. I was way pumped on getting the skins put on this off of the jack stands finally! I think it looks pretty good need to hit the wheels with some polish, they 37" BFG KM2"s with Weld Cheyenne 8's 17x10. This thing turned out to be pretty big. I took plenty of POSER shots.

Looks good. :waytogo: It's always funny when building these rigs in the garage and they end up taller than the garage door. :doah:

I still have so much to do, I really need to get the frame boxed, think I'm going to go ahead and order the Screamin Seeman Offroad motor mounts that way everything is there although it's pretty expensive, but hell these things aren't cheap to do anyway so why not. Right now I have the Cummins tore down moving some parts around and cleaning it to be able to drop in (soon I hope) .....more poser shots!

Yes I'm screwed for getting this thing out of the garage, I will get a set of rollers when the time comes!

Or talk your wife into building a bigger taller garage around it. I tried, it didn't work for me though. :D
