awesome build, love the full convertible top blazers. Do I understand that you are swapping in a 6.5 turbodiesel or a 6.2 diesel?

the frame got cleaned up and three coats of Zero Rust applied. I can just do a rattle can touch up if the paint get chipped off. It's a wheeling rig right??

Now the fun starts! Hmm do I go the easy route and use the 6.2 with the ats turbo and turbo 400??

Hell Thats way too simple, one wire to make it go!! No No No, I'm a master at electronics right? do it the hard way! I got this bastard ripped down to the frame and I'm feeling like king kong the master fabricator no pussing out now!!!

What we have here is a 6.5 centermount turbo diesel, 4l80e transmission and 242 t-case out of a yup H-1
set006.jpg

set010.jpg

comes with a full stainless 3" insulated exhaust
set018.jpg

Here's the tricky part, the fire wall will need to be "adjusted" to fit the exhaust manifold

I had to make a spacer plate for the heater to clear the manifold. Some 1"x1" square tube and a sheet of 14 guage

heater mocked up

on a foot note the 242 has been swaped for a part time 241, the 242 needs the transmission cooler routed through the front output "I didn't want to hassle with that" and being a fulltime case extended periods of highway speeds can cause premature wear..

Nice

I like it :D thell he 6.5 can make 350+ hp and 700 ish Ft lbs tq when tuned right and thats enough to spank most trucks on the road that generation.
BTW I have a comp pullout 99 H1 6.5 4L80e setup laying around myself.
We replaced it with a 05 6.6 Duramax ally combo so LMK if ya need stuff;)

Nah, my builds exist half way across the state from each other, in boxes and storage sheds, and basically will never get done.

I'm okay with it though.

Good job!
