Yeah the trip happened. it was a blast. I have just been busy trying to make money since my wife got laid off. I have not had time for editing the batch of videos and photos.

I took my old part time job back and still having a tough time. Right now the Mule is sitting. I got the battery charger on it and tire covers. Not sure what the fate of the Mule is.

Bummer. I was hoping that your situation had resolved since you last posted. :(

We're in a similar boat, so I can empathize. It's not the funnest place to be, that's for sure. Is there anything we can do to help ya out?

I got one of your Front Bumpers,, just got to start putting it together. Thanks to my Buddy and enabler! (cyclic) With the Wielder, it is coming out very nice! I like!! The Kit is Great!

Hey guys, Im back and the Mule is staying with us!

First off would like to apologize for the disappearing act. I know a lot of you loved the build thread and didn't want to see the Mule go.

It's been an odd couple of years. instead of selling the Mule we sat on her for a while, occasionally taking her out or at least starting her up once a month and keeping her plugged in. We were not sure what we were doing with our lives. Not until recently have we found ourselves again and realized everything we were looking for in a newer truck was already sitting right in front of us. The mule will be getting some more work here soon. I am going to be rebuilding the entire front and rear A/C system, get some new tires and wheels moving to 315/75-16s MTs.

THE BLUE IS GOING AWAY! Yeah the blue is going as soon as its cool enough to paint! It will be going a field drab (coyote) with some black accents.

The TPI project got completely scrubbed but we plan for a TBI top end with new heads a cam and intake. this will be all bolt-on and go and if im lucky no burn on a new eprom.

We now return you to your regular scheduled program...

For the TBI, go ahead and get a dynamic efi conversion. Easy to do and will allow self tuning of whatever set-up you install. Best heads are going to be vortec, or an aluminum version of them. May as well go with a vortec roller cam while you are at it.

looking at a set of Trick flow aluminum heads that actually have better numbers than vortecs.

Just make sure they are not too high flow. It would kill the torque available down low. It's why I like the vortecs, I have had three 96-99 chevys with the 350 vortec motors, they are amazing for a stock truck. And it's not the injection, it's the heads and cam that make those motors such good truck engines. A set of cleaned up aluminum vortecs and a slightly bigger than stock vortec cam makes for an incredibility reliable motor with very good power and torque.

Either way you build it, it will absolutely need either a chip or dynamic efi. Once you go outside of the stock (low power) TBI engine, tuning is pretty much required. I went dynamic EFI almost from the moment I got my burb. I absolutely love it. It will self tune for the most part, and allow you to make changes to the stock system on the fly with a laptop. Look into it, uses ALL the stock GM fuel injection. Updates and speeds up the computer, gives you multiple build in tunes, electric fans, egr delete, pretty much everything a modern FI system would give you.
 
Also, when ever you list the plans on ebay, let us know. Or you could offer them here. I know I love the bumper and enjoyed building it.
 
If it were me...i would be patient and save your pennies for an LS swap. Mine has been swapped for over a year now and i am extremely pleased with the drivability and power from the latest gm platform. I owned 2 k5's back in the day that i converted to tbi around Ck5's birth...and i am here to tell ya...go LS. Of course...humbly my .02.
