Project OVERKILL - Ppump 24v Fummins swap started

Any updates? It's been a few weeks!!

Like always nice build. Will this be the last or just the next upgrade?

SUBSCRIBED!!!! this is an awesome build. I like the mixing of breeds, chevy body, dodge motor, and ford driveline, this is just too cool, you must have lots of time, money, and ambition

Tons of ambition, No time, and doing what I do for a living I'm Captain Right-place-Right-Time for smokin deals.

Now if i could have gotten a Dodge 4500 or 5500 I would have. but this F450 fell into my lap at work they're the same diffs anyways in the big fords and big dodges.

so it is what it is...........

So I just found out about this, which saved me the agony in waiting for years to see all this progress.
So now you have the best of the big three in one vehicle: Chevy, Ford and Dodge. :D:bow:

thats sort of what happened. I chose what I think is the very best part for every component on the truck.

Started out, I loved driving my stock '97 bigblock dually. but eventually moved out of town. so driving it to work sucked. so BBC out, cummins in. wanted to SFA it, decided the chevy frame was not beefy enough. then 1 ton diffs wasn't good enough anymore either.....so on and so forth.

Just because I can't remember...which axles does it have now? 80 and 135?

I'll give a coles notes recap of current situation. unheated garage, winter sucks. work halts. so........

this is current scenario. once it back together and a driver. rims and tires will change back to 22.5" alcoas, I'll build sidepipes for it too.

body - '97 Chevy crewcab DRW 3500 silverado
engine - '95 12v cummins.
tranny - '98 Dodge NV4500
Tcase - late '70s ford divorced NP205
frame - '06 F450
suspension - stock '06 F450
diffs - stock '06 F450

...........picked up my rims this afternoon :partytime: Need to order tires now.

When you had this done....did you do it yourself, or $$$ someone? Mine need attention, and I'm doing more "thinking" about it then "doing" about it.:doah:

He had it done.
I get offers all the time when I go to truck stops, I just never remember how much because I don't want to spend money on something that doesn't bring me money.:D

I don't know how I've missed this one. Awesome build, although you've changed directions enuf that my head is spinning just from having read the whole thread at once!

A local tire outfit rent a bay at the local Kenworth dealer. they have a machine that polishes rims. thats what I stuck them in. its $30 a side. only do the out facing sides.

Damn, I wish I has access/knew someone who did to a machine like that.... I'd pay $120 to get my rims gleamin' again!:D Right now, they're awful, and I'm dreading drill/powerball and polish compound.
