Project OVERKILL - Ppump 24v Fummins swap started

I hand picked those rims out of a local truck wreckers yard. believe me they were rough to start with.

Ur truck has to be the most bad ass truck I have seen. I am building the twin truck to urs i cant wait to see it done. It is good to see that some one has good taste in trucks

I've got some pretty skookum stainless body mounts for the chevy to ford marriage.

progress stopped for a long while there. got tired of working on it. got sidetracked on my other projects. getting focused again to kick its ass this fall though. got my garage insulated getting a free furnace to burn the natural gas to take the edge off. all systems go.

Its awesome, I want to drive it.

Scribed for the diesel

Is that a 6BT? (IDK)

I wouldnt mind even having a 4BT slid in place of my 62 when she dies. :woot: But, I couldnt aford it, and Im too stupid to do it myself. :k5:

heres the 2 rear mounts anyways, to get an idea.

awesome build man. your last few posts with pictures dont work though. you should throw a dt466 in there with an allison

ah no. I don't need an international the 6B cummins is more than capable. and I just don't like automatics. I can put one behind a cummins too, with a SAE flywheel housing. they came in tons of med duty crap like that.

now if I really wanted to do something stupid I have a 685 hp Detroit Series 60 core kicking around..............but lets not go there I get enough dumb ideas all on my own :doah:

thanks though. the truck is going to kick ass when it comes to completed stage :thumb:

I sold the 6 rims, 6 tires, 4 adapters and 40 lug nuts as a set. they went fast. easier for me to sell as a set, cause the tires were no good for the big 4x4 F450 chassis and the adapters are obviously the wrong pattern. so as a set it went. I can do up another set when the time comes. I think 24.5" next time though. its almost cheaper to go this way with big rig rubber than buy 6 new 19.5's. those 19.5 tires are easily 2x the cost of most 22.5.

what ever u do it will look clean i loved the look of ur truck with the 22s on it im trying to track down rims and adapters but the adapters seem to be more expensive than the rims i have found :doah: I have seen a few sets for sale but they are for the new ford bolt pattern. Have u looked ate the direct bolt on wheels from american force

well late on the updates. since being oncall 24/7 for pretty much the whole year so far. very little progress was being made. and with a daunting amount of work still ahead to scratch build a whole truck basically. I went and bought a loaded 2006 F350 crewcab SRW.

going to be WAY less work in the end to destroke this and put the F450 diffs under it. I am going to single wheel the big diffs. found an outfit in Indiana iirc that builds a set of rims to single wheel the F450/550 and dodge 4500/5500s as a bolt on rim.

so I can end it here now if you can't stomach seeing a superduty body. or I'll keep shooting pics in as things move forward. which should be rapidly this time.

Keep it coming... it's not our fault chevy forgot how to build a truck past '91 so bring on the Ford pics.
