Project OVERKILL - Ppump 24v Fummins swap started

Are the axels that much wider? Or is it the offset of your wheels?

I like that your truck is as dirty as mine.. Gotta love Alberta in the winter.

Ya the axle is that much wider. the 35s that were on it on the regular D60 as of this morning didn't stick out at all from under the fender. now theres an easy 6" out on each side.

WOW!! Thats wide, bush wackers aren`t gonna cover all that.
Don`t get me wrong, it`s going to look sick... in a good way!:D
But is that what you want? I mean by being that wide?

I knew full well it would be wider. wasn't expecting quite that much. But I dig it. Big trucks that have the tires tucked up all under the fenders have an unatural look about them.

It won't be my first wide truck. the dually was around 8' 4" wide on the rear with the 22" alcoas. with a substantial amount uncovered as well.

I was just thinking when you have H1's re-centered you have a ton of choices for bolt pattern, backspace, flat or pressed centers...I'm sure one of the many companies that do them would be able to weld in some 10 lug centers with some nice deep backspace for you.

The H1's are tough lookin rims too.

OH I see actual H1 with different centers. I have to use minimum 20" rims though. my brake rotors ARE that big.

Here are the 19.5" rims just clearing caliper

What about the alcoa super single rims? they have pretty deep backspacing from what i can see.

Have you checked with true design wheel to see if they can make you some 10 lug rims to your specs?

I can use Alcoa floatation rims. and adapters. I looked at that too. but then were talking the shortest tire availiable is 42" tall. 385/65r22.5's from any manufacturer. then theres 425/65r22.5 and 445/65r22.5

I got these rims new way cheaper than I could do 4 alcoas and adapters. and besides with 20x11 rims I can hammer any 20" military tire on it that I want in the future.

Wow looks great. Did that front axle just bolt straight up?

What did you have to do to the rear axle to get it in there?

Sooooo what happened to the other page of posts here that seem to be missing now?!?

Never mind, I just got the memo!!

Physically bolted in, yes. the springs and arms are the same. So the springs I kept original F350 as they're the 6" lift springs. the swaybar is F450 - bigger diameter. the pitman arm is F350 still - dropped for the lift. but from the draglink down is all F450. the steering stabilizer is different between the two, on the lower end mount. that will need to be adjusted to fit. drive shaft bolted up. brakes lines and everything else went on fine.

the rear diff. all the brackets had to be cut off. spring perches moved out 1 1/2" each. shock mounts moved. longer ubolts. going to use the F450 rear driveshaft. Its bigger. needs to be cut to fit yet though. Shortened.

Oh and since it got lost in the Db crash and burn.........

Lets play the weight game. throwing out guesses on projected new weight of this Rhino. I'll run it over the scales in a couple weeks.
