1972 K5 Blazer - Project "Respawn"
Just picked up a 1972 K5 Blazer CST...

Going to strip the rest of the interior and get some estimates on body work before I start this project so I know what I'm dealing with...

1972
Color - original dark blue
Uncut dash with factory AM radio
Uncut lower inside door panels
Factory non - air conditioning
Automatic
Factory tachometer
Rare factory throttle control
"very solid"
4L60 Transmission
Grill, both inner and outer in great shape, nothing broken or dented
Lots of extra parts - including all the emblems etc..

350 TBI from 92 suburban
NP241 t-case (fixed rear yoke)
Needs some rust repair

If I take the wood grain panel off the glove box is there holes behind it?

Doubt it
I would think it's just a decal like the gauges are. I've never seen a glove box with more than just the emblem holes (which you don't have)

It's not a decal though, it's a plate that is on top of the door.

If it had a CST badge on the glovebox door originally there will probably be holes drilled on the front surface.

Nice blazer, You gonna fix the body and repaint to match the interior color? Better just sling in a big block. I would love a 72 blazer, guess I better fix up my 72 pickup first.

What's the definition of "too much" for rust repair? Keep it all "stock" like Greg, or just patch over what's there to keep it a driver? :popcorn:
