Project "Scope Creep" 84 K5 Crawler

Finally got everything smoothed out on the floor and sprayed the truck bed liner.

The liner is epoxy-based and after drying for 3 days, it's rock hard and not coming off. I bought it from a local paint supply store for about $140. Came with 8 half-full cans (mix one into another) then screw on the included gun and shoot. It was an AWESOME product.

Looking good. I just saved some of the Noico stuff in my Amazon cart to buy when I get paid Friday. :waytogo:

Very nice job on the welding and patches!! I have a feeling I will be following in your footsteps pretty soon.

Thanks! If you run into rust as bad as I did by the tailgate, I highly suggest this method of repair. I got the idea from another guy on here, but improvised. Stay tuned for the tailgate. I'm hoping there's enough adjustment in the hinges I can just bolt them to the bottom of the 4x6; we'll see.

I'm very impressed with the Noico. Just as good as Dynamat at over half the price. I mean, it's butyl rubber and foil; who can F that up?

Just working on the radio now. Found a cherry 91 Suburban bezel at a local yard for $10. Making a plate for the DIN housing.

Sorry, I'm single, so I'm one of "those people" that posts pictures of their pets. This is the audience I have when I'm working on the K5.

I should make mention that the black lab is 1 of only 2 reasons I'm building the Blazer. 1) I need a rig that holds both dogs, 2) a friend wants to wheel-in wheel-out camp and I refuse to do tents anymore.

Well since you brought up pets and the build, my poor Border Collie slides all over the place in the bed, trying to think of something to put back there to give her more traction? Thought about buying either scrap carpet or one of those rubber bed mats that I could velcro in or something? Would be interested in your solutions!

I love the build Man, all the body repair turned out well!

I'm also a huge dog lover so no worries about posting them.
