Project Smoke Wagon

1984 GMC Jimmy 383 Stroker | SM466
The problem with experiment #2 is it may cause the temp to rise above the 500*F mark. So far i think dip and burn is the process that will work best.

Theres no good way to put it on. It ends up dripping all over. It works better with multiple coats instead of dipping from what i have gathered just kinda hard to get it on there haha
Most of that post sounded dirty...

Do you have the mechanical clutch or hydraulic?

Decided to try and color match the bell housing to the truck. It’s close but a little darker. I used GM Gun Metal. Prepped, Primed, Paint and clear. I have the adapter for the TC in route to my house. As soon as it gets here it’s basically go time.

TC adapter? What’s wrong with the transfer case you had on it?

the adapter on this one has that big ol’ booger weld on it. Just going to replace it so I won’t have to worry about it later. Nothing wrong with the transfer case just the adapter that goes on between trans and TC

Paint the adapter a 3rd color once you get it?

Nah. Plus most people will never look that close. It’s all for you
