CUCV shackles are cool, but the cutouts for them should be closer to the actual size. Sort of like the giant slots - they are OK for prototype, but embarrassing for the real install on a production bumper.
Are you embarrassed for the bumper? It's a prototype, the holes were cut wrong and has been corrected.CUCV shackles are cool, but the cutouts for them should be closer to the actual size. https://www.diodedynamics.com/off-road-auxiliary-led/light-bars/stages-series-led-light-bars.html any 6 inch lightAm curious what will fit in the rectangle openings on sides
The civilian bumper will not have the holes for cucv shackles.Couple things:
For civilian - would it be available without d-ring holes?
For the holes for the 6” lights - can the size and shape of those holes be adjusted (for a fee i would assume). For example if wanted a 4” circle or 2”x2” square?
Will a ‘matching’ rear bumper be in the works?
Good looking bumper, great to see. will be watching as a potential customer when they are ready.
The grill guard makes it hard to sit all the way up, but we are looking into a solutionLooks good. My 2 cents is the top of the bumper should be a bit taller to cover the lower grill valance like the factory bumper. Otherwise it's super cool.
Shipping is easier when it is in three pieces. Was it in 3 pieces before? I’m guessing that’s for shipping purposes.
We are going to change the angle of the ends of the bumper that meet the fender.

The civvy versions won't have the shackle mount holes, or you can put lights there.i like that it will accept the brush guard maybe they need to come up with a kit for people that don't have factory CUCV shackle mounts? either something to bolt or weld in to the back of the cut out that will accept a shackle, or some kind of plug?
Good ideawhen i built mine, ended up putting a radius on the inside of the corner, and shortening how much material extended rearward.
If people had bene offering bumpers like this, I probably could have avoided building one by hand!
