purchased a cordless impact gun

I know the guys in the battery place, and they told me that a local contractor brings in the battery packs when he buys a new tool, and has them change them out.

Says that one brand in particular he would rather replace brand new batteries than use the ones that came in it.
Says he makes up the cost in reduced labor cost because his guys can keep working longer.

Don't remember the name though. Might have been Back and Dickher.

whats the deal with these "buy a fix" gigs on eghey for the batteries? it's like $5 and supposedly tells ya how to fix bad/dead batteries..

A good charger can bring back batteries that were "dead" when cycled several times. You do have to disassemble the entire pack and break it down to the individual cells though. But It can done. I used to do a lot of battery pack building in R/C and some of those cells went in upwards of $30 a PIECE!! So i tried saving those. LOL It would in most cases to just replace the dead cell but then you have to match it to all the other cells so you dont have issues in the pack. Lith. is a whole different ballgame though. Charge those wrong and YOU WILL have a explosion or meltdown.

I have the same one. Fantastic tool. Worth every penny. I paid 100 bucks for mine used off the snap on truck. I couldn't complain.
