Next..the motor! The block was cleaned with kerosene and an Osborn wire wheel bush. A lite coat of zinc was applied.

Looking great I am at a similar stage your truck is a bit more solid then mine i had to do the floor pans as well but your truck looks like its coming along really nice.

Ford 9 inch, 31 spline track-loc, 3.00 gears. I'm installing 4.86 summit racing gears, new clutches, timken bearings.
C7AW-E12 center section, with the standard bearing pinion housing.
Here's the ford 9 pinion next to a 14bff. Notice the o-ring on the ford 9.
I rebuilt the track-lock and installed the carrier bearings.
Some grinding to fit the 4.86 gears...
Total investment on the 9, $275! I question the quality of the summit racing gear sets, after cleaning the burs, and stoning the dings on the back of the gear...probably the last set I'll buy.

But I do need a d44 flattop passenger side, headers exhaust, corvette ralley wheels, 241 fixed yoke kit, 35" Pit Bulls, 5 lug chevy rotors.
My father has a flat top knuckle he would sell I think, I don't know how much he wants for it though, I'd have to ask him.
