anyone running it? I bought it and used it to make up the pump to carb fuel line. I then go back to get the link to show to my buddy and read this:

Nitrile covered, high tensile synthetic braid reinforced Push-Loc hose offers the maximum in flexibility, weight savings and ease of installation. Pressure rated to 250 PSI. Compatible with all synthetic lubricants, oils and coolants. Must be used with Push-Loc or Twist-Lok style hose ends. Not for use on brake, gasoline, nitrous or power steering systems. Available in Black, Red, Blue, Yellow and Grey and a variety of lengths & diameters for virtually any color and application requirement. Made in USA.

the twist lok hose says this:

High quality hose for the cost-conscious racer.

For the enthusiast looking for a quality performance hose while wanting to save assembly time and money, Russell Twist-Lok hose is the way to go. Easy to assemble, flexible and lightweight, it is ideal for most automotive applications where a stainless steel braided line is not necessary. It's pressure rated up to 250 psi, and is suitable for most fuel and oil systems.

should I buy the twist lok hose, and swap the fittings over, or don`t worry about it?

so what you have is not rated for fuel? I'd swap it.

X2...

I've used push lock for air fittings mostly, on aircraft tooling. In that regard it is fine...however all it takes is to slightly bump the lock collar inwards and it comes apart. I can fully understand why it shouldn't be used for fuel systems.

A "twist lock" style is definitely more secure and therefore safer IMO.

We use push-lock stuff ALL the time in boats, on lower pressure systems..

that style barb..... just push the hose on and done.. let me tell ya, there ain't NO WAY thats coming off.. you have to cut em off with a razor knife...

we use them all the time on oil systems, FUEL systems, etc... as long as your using the properly rated hose for the fluid they work great..

Tho I'm not familiar with any of the russell, Earls, etc form of these fittings.. When it comes to my stuff, I run AN reusables.. at work we run the push-lock version above and high pressure stuff usually gets Aeroquip reusables like this...

I've run Push Lock clampless fitting for years with great success. I've never bought any fancy hose though, just typical black fuel or oil hose. I hate ugly hose clamps, the Push Lock stuff helps clean up the motor.

we use them over the aeroquip reusables whenever possible, for cost to the customer, and ease of install.. diesel, gas, oil...

we only run the aeroquip on critical high pressure systems, like trans coolers (upwards of 400psi), etc...

x3 use "pushloc" style hose and fittings often in the past for diesel fuel systems and air systems. and on my own diesel trucks fuel systems.

persoanlly use Goodyear Gator-grip hose, but fittings are the same. the yellow collar designates pushlock fittings from regular barbs. no clamps nessisary rated to 300 psi.

any links to the fittings you use? I`m getting confused when you guys mention the push lock stuff, as that`s what I got.....well push-loc.

So it would be suitable for the pump to carb line then, with the right hose?

thanks brother. Now I just need to find out which ones I need for the fuel pump and carb, thats if these are suitable for my application. I believe they`re 3/8ths NPT, but they list two different thread sizes for the fitting for a 3/8ths I.D. hose.
anyone happen to have the part number for the fittings they used?

looks like i need p/n 30182 for the pump and carb fittings, but they list two different ones for 3/8ths hose, for 1/4x18 and 3/8x18 TPI.
