Well it sounds like maybe the lack of driving has caused either a gasket or the bowls to start leaking fuel. I would probably have someone stand by the tailpies when you start it up cold... what for a blackish type smoke and see if it smells really rich. If it does either that is probably your problem. Otherwise check to make sure you are getting a squart or decent squart of fuel from the aceel. pump.
Not too sure on the idle level deal. I'd probably try your buddy or a good carb book to diagnois it. I'm not a real big electronic choke guy...especially on quads. I'm actually more of a chokless guy LOL. It seems that the fast idle circuit would have it being messed up all the time and not just sometimes or most times.
