Recentered h1's..??

What's the opinion of trail worthy fab?? Seems like he's got some good pricing?

He does have killer prices > I recently purchased a set of 37s from him. Shipped fast, one tire was dry rotting so i called the man about it. No questions asked he ups shipped my an additional 37. Customer service was top notch IMO. As far as the wheels themselves i saw DIY4X was doing them too, and his was looking the most bad ass ive seen, and will get them from him when $ allows[/quote]

thanks for the infer! i'll check his out too.
its sounds like now i should probalby rock the 12 bolts.

No reason to recenter them on a 73-87 chevy, just bolt the wheels on back wards...Works in Iraq so it will work in the US...

Just wait til I get pics of the stock suspension HD Chevys here in Iraq running 37's with no lift on H1's...

Hell ya. Stock with 37s, we want to see some pics! Have any pics with wheels on backwards? Thanks!

HMM should I try this?

All I have to do is go to my buddies house and pick up four tires and wheels

Edit: who had the pics of this?

Edit2: what the hell I'll do it this weekend when he has people over at his barn and they can load it into my suburban. I cant lift heavy stuff yet because of my shoulder.

I got a set of 37s from him. He screwed up the shipping so I got credited $50. One tire had a cut in the sidewall, so far no leaks. Also I originally thought a tire had mud on it. After I washed all the tires prior to mounting I realized it was paint. The military must have painted the original rim while it was mounted to the tire so it had a ton of desert tan paint on the sidewall. I still havnt gotten all of it off.

they run them around base at 40+ mph all the time...

I've heard of old timers doing the same thing on the old flat fender Jeeps. Can you get us a pic of that? That would be ideal if it was safe! Can you still get to the valve stem with the wheel on backwards?

I haven't mounted any of them yet myself, but I seen one here at VBC yesterday...Plus two of our CWO's had them on their CUCV's at Speicher...

Here is the pics of one with them just mounted on the rear, the other truck had them all the way around...

Thanks for the pics. Somehow those wheels just don't look right though. Where are the beadlocks? Am I missing something? Is the beadlock part only on the front? I've never paid attention to the backs of those wheels.

Trail Worthy Fab is a good place. I have driven down to Kansas and picked tires up from the guy. He is a good guy, and will help you out.

They aren't like aftermarket beadlocks at all. It is a two piece wheel and the beadlock is entirely internal. The bolts you see are not the beadlocks, they are holding the two halves of the rim together. So from the inside to outside you have:
-inner rim
-inner tire bead
-insert
-outer tire bead
-outer rim

All sandwiched together so the beads can't break. The insert reaches all the way across the rim touching the tire on both sides. Of course this is only possible with a 2-piece wheel.
