red buttons in overhead console, stock?

The other day my rear view mirror fell off, and when I was glueing it back on I noticed something. There are four red buttons on the front of my overhead console. They push in like they turn something on and off, but I don't notice anything when I push them. They look stock, and the area behind them in the console is blocked off. Anybody know what these were for?

I've had the overhead console off of my '90 Burb and didn't find any extra buttons. Sounds like someone added them to yours.

It activates warp speed and over hyper drive.

Same here. They must be aftermarket.
