Repainting My 1986 Chevy K5 Blazer - Hope You Like It...

I used a Devilbiss HVLP gun with a 1.3 mm tip for paint (1.8 mm for primer)...

looks good...

I'm the head controversy contributor on POR15... there's really no controversy, just me debunking the introweb myth of POR15 being God's jizz or something..

it is what it is, an encapsulator... it works good in some apps, not in others..

did you sand under the glazing putty?

HA HA :haha:
I was thinking roll on flat black, when I seen the title.

That looks real good!:waytogo:

Nice job!

Honestly, i think thats one of the best do it yourself paint jobs i've ever seen... i love it

Very nice. Happy for ya man. Thats a big task to take on and finish. Feels good I bet. Looks great.

How long did the whole process take? cause I'm feeling like a slowpoke now...

I used a couple of my vacation days from work to paint the truck. I started disassembling the truck on a Thursday night, and I worked on it 12 to 16 hours a day for 5 days straight. It was a lot of work, and I took hell from my wife. God love her... she just doesn't understand boys and their toys.

I believe you had a twin of my blazer right now... dirty ole gray color... I do have a question though... what did you do with the factory grill and all that stuff? Mine is busted and I was going to buy a new one... Did you get rid of all that stuff?

Looks good btw :waytogo:

Yes, I got rid off the original grill. It wasn't in too good of shape anyhow.
