So I'm putting in a new fuel pump, and then decided might as well install a new tank. Everything looks good but figured maybe I should at least replace the 3 hard, fuel lines from tank to at least the fuel filter location...maybe even further.

Can't seem to find a source for them though.

LMC says carb lines only?!?

89' K5 Blazer

Also, there is a "canister purge valve" right at the tank. Is this stock?? I combed the junkyard and saw an 89' suburban, but didn't see this purge valve.

I have yet to see anyone selling pre-bent EFI fuel lines for the trucks. The fittings are unique to GM EFI for a few years, and apparently not worth it for anyone to make them.

Mastercool's 71475 will make those flares, and I thought they had a cheaper option, but either way it was still pretty expensive.

I don't know what the salt-state folks have to say, but out this way fuel lines don't have issues, inside or out.

It's been a few years, but that valve was discussed on here years back. IIRC it was something to do with high altitude emissions trucks, and was in fact stock on select vehicles.

Makes sense. My truck came from Wyoming with a high altitude option.

Truck did spend some time in Seattle so some surface rust.......

Damn inlinetubes page sucks here at home for some reason.

I can see some links to EFI stuff for Blazer supposedly, but can't click on it. Can see a $145 price tag though!

Yeah, the website sucks. it sucked two years ago too, I really wish they'd do something about that. I ended up calling them.

I did every brake line from master cyl to the rear wheel cylinders, plus all the fuel lines from the tank to where the braided lines start. From there I needed custom to hook to the 5.3 fuel rails. anyways, all CNC bent, all stainless, I recall $600 for everything. That was to my door here.
