One of the farmers around here that I work with has one of those Actys, they are horrible to work on. Engine under the bed, no access. The carbs are weird. I did learn lots.

I have been tinkering on the belt sqeal issue. Very slowly. I have found that the alternator bracket was deformed. It tilted the alternator so the back was down. I was running a straight edge through the center of the pulley on the face. I never checked vertical on the pulley. I aligned the AC compressor off of that pulley alignment. Fail.

Now that the alternator is aligned correctly, the compressor needs to rotate and move back 3/8". The cold at night is really slowing me down. The floor never heats up.

I should have it back together this weekend.

The left rear brake locked up last week in front of the house when I stopped. The slope of the road drops the right front corner, so I thought it was no big deal. Did it again on the way home. I had checked the fluid level when I got the truck. Was full. Never really looked in it hard. Should have, because I probably should not have been driving it.

Why can't I find 9/16" thread tube fittings locally? Was going to bench blead it first. I guess I will just hook the pressure bleader on and go.

Yep. Also adding launch control on the front brakes. So far, all of the tube nuts have come out without rounding any of them. Even the hard to get to ones.

The heater in the shop failed, so I went inside tonight.

Leave the reservoir 1/4 below the top of the casting. These make enough heat the fluid will expand, if higher than 1/4" from top will apply the brakes.

Finding the fittings to upgrade the brake lines for the line lock was a little tough. Finally found a few at my local Oreilly's. They were able to get the others I needed the next day. Paper catalog for the win.

Also ordered this from a previous suggestion. Talked to the owner of the company. 3 man and one woman shop. Nice guy. He called me back on Saturday afternoon. Said his days just run together. The slip yoke from my TH400 will work in the 4l80E and these seals. Slap it on and go.
