Revival of the "classic hauler"

I'm gonna warn all of you things tend to move slowly on this project being that it is my DD and dealing with cancer with the wife really puts a damper on things lately.

I'm gonna try to get the cowl off and do some investigating (mabey find bad seam sealer?) And I will probably put some kind of sealant under my cab lights. Any suggestions on what to use? The only thing that really comes to my mind is clear silicone but that just sounds hokey :dunno:

Clear silicone (the real RTV stuff, no latex) has gotta be better than the foam gaskets that the factory used. :dunno:

Tore in to the truck after work today and tore the dash apart figured I'd see if I could find where the water was coming from and was gonna work at getting a small set of gauges in to monitor vitals,IMG_20160427_155820860.jpg IMG_20160427_160032813_HDR.jpg
Windshield seal is definitely leaking.
Ended up figuring out why my gauges wernt working:doah:damn fused was popped!!!! I swear I checked that damn thing, I feel like such a jackass:haha:

yes, looks like you have the stamped steel ones as well....evidently the cast iron ones only came on 76-77 years?

Ever since you posted those Dave I have poked my head under more than one dually never have I seen the cast ones.

It's even to the point where Bailey thinks it's weird if I don't look under an old Chevy dually.
