Revival of the "classic hauler"

One of the wheels and tires that I got with the truck they all looked about like this

Here's the finished product with my "used" but in great shape tires I scored on

White looks GREAT, but unless they are powder coated they will tend to chip easily and get rust in the crevice of the inner/outer wheel pieces....much like the originals do.

Yea I scored on the tires, a local guy had em I guess they are a discontinued cooper but he told me 4 of them were run for one winter with mabey 200 miles and 2 were brand new and they looked like it so I was happy at $600

Does anybody have any experience with the ranger torque splitter from advance adaptors?

I've been thinking about a nv4500 swap in the future but if I'm not mistaken the ranger box nets the same overdrive as the nv4500 plus gives me the option to split my gears. I'm thinking this would be a viable option that would save me the headache of adapting my 205 to nv4500 and finding a bellhousing and switching to hydraulic clutch.

The best I can tell I would have to modify driveshafts and move holes in the cab +1 and bolt it up, looks like a clean install to me plus the cool factor of two sticks haha.

I have the ranger in my blazer. Get an nv4500.

It's a bit annoying to shift. It's nowhere near as smooth as you'd expect and it makes lining up the sm465 gears more difficult as well. I expected to be able to drop a gear quick on an uphill, but it is just not the case.

Any reason no one does a nv5600 swap? or the zf6??

I was just thinking about a zf6 swap just the other day I haven't seen one yet, I've only seen 1 newer truck with a zf6 in it around my area I'm willing to bet it would be a spendy trans to buy

I was just looking at the ranger as a cost efficient, and simple alternative to the 4500.

Richcz28 When talking about downshifting are you talking about
Off road or down the highway? Because the duallys my puller and I've always gotta drive at least 100 miles each way seems like it would be like driving a truck with a 2speed but I guess having never driven one I don't know. Got any vids of the complications?
