Anyone here use Right Gear disc brake swap brackets? I put Caddy calipers on my truck and not really happy... big surprise!

I need to use the e-brake and need to run dual wheels on a cab & chassis, C&C rearend.

I am looking for someone that has actually bought and used these brackets... please. Its a big gamble money wise and hope someone to find someone that tried them out.

Thanks in advance!

I've been looking at them myself. I am going to do it one of these days when I decide it is time. It should be ultra reliable since it is late model GM R&D.
From the different companies I have researched, this seems the best bet for a disc conversion.

I don't see anything on that site for disc brakes either...

The company I have inspect my vehicles accept transfer case e brake.

that's the route I'm going with both my rigs... f*ck the caddy calipers..

Check their ebay page. I forgot it doesn't show anything on the web page for some reason. Hell, the web page doesn't even load for me on my phone.

Yeah, except it is for the older 14bff that had the non slip off drums. I think it is pre 87?

wow that 1 hole is real close to the edge and looks like it is ready to blow out .

would be nice to have a bit more info on it to make a decision .

Yeah they don't give a lot of info. I'd like to see a parts list of what else is required. If it totals to less than the cost of t-case brake I'd be interested.

I still haven't found a review. But here is a pic of it installed,

my big question is what hubs to run ?

as the older stuff we use is 1 style and the pop off newer drum/factory disk is another .

the bearing spacing on the spindle went less / so no swapping of hubs . I found this out the hard way years ago . :doah:

I swear I saw a parts list on eBay? But it seemed like it was all dealer items. I'll have to see what I can put together price wise. I am like you; if the t case is cheaper, I will go that route.

AZblazer has a set of these brackets, but not installed. They looked like quality parts, but it has been over a year since I looked at them. And I didn't spend much time on them as we had lots to do on his K5.
Some of the parts to complete the swap are dealer or boneyard only. I really like the idea, but the t-case brake is going to be cheaper. I believe even if a good deal was found for used parts, you would end up needing new pads, so all of it would add up.
My wacky brain still would like to try these out.
