Rims for winter

I was just making a joke, sorry.
I just dislike the look of most aftermarket wheels, and oversized wheels.
Do you plan to drive this in the winter? Not worried about rust?

Yep, driving it in winter, I am worried about rust but doing what I can for undercoating and removing the little rust on the exposed metal. Do the best I can with underblasting it when the salt is out. It's not the best but without a extra working car/truck I'm sorta stuck.

I just had a look at your page. You have some pretty cool trucks. I could not help but see the rusty ones you have. I'm crossing fingers mine don't look like them after this winter.
Any advice for dealing with rust? I'm up in the air for a regular undercoating spray and a rubberized spray, that is ment to be stripped off after like 6 months. The rubberized spray seems like a good idea. I also know your not dealing with salt, I ask only because you seem to know a lot and have taken in rusty trucks.
If you're not sure, no issue
Avoid the rubberized, as it traps moisture. Look for wax wool / cosmoline style. Maybe there is a Krown near you or you can cross the border.

DB, thanks for the advice. I looked into it and seems to have great reviews from people. If you habe used this before did you use a rust prevention primer before? I'm jumping onto looking deeper into how to use it later tonight.

Works well also, spray can, can get it on Amazon and other places, even autozone lately.
No snow here in Georgia to worry about, but I have used the Fluid Film (and Corrosion-X) on my boat motors that I run in salt water. It gets a little greasy but it stops rust and prevents more from forming. Washes off with a good degreaser and some effort if needed.
The undersides of my squares are greasy anyway from GM factory corrosion inhibition (leaks) so a little more grease won't hurt a bit.

15" with 4" backspacing doesnt touch your tie rod ends?
With the factory rally rims no. I switched to some 15x10 Chrome mods with 4 in backspacing and the balancing weights on the lip of the rim actually hit the tie rod ends. The tire shop ended up using the stick on weights on the inside of the wheel and it was fine.

I’ve been looking at 16” and 17” pro comps but they are 4” backspacing so I haven’t pulled the trigger. From what I’ve read on ck5 there are factors on every square that may effect Outcome for each individual

My 15X10's are the same way, but only hit the tie rod on the passenger side. lol
