I am lazy, as said before many times, and am looking for some rock slider ideas.

I am not afraid of cutting, and kinda want to do a mini boatside type idea.

I was originally going with some 2x6 and removing the rocker.

Who's go some ideas, and or pictures?

saw this truck for sale on CL and saved the pics since I hadn't seen anything like it before. Looks very similar to what you want to do.

You do have to trim the bottom of the door on that also correct?

You don't need to go to the frame some bracing from the inner peace to the floor will be enough. 2x6 3/16 is what I would use

I have done em on all sorts of rigs the key is the backside bracing if you aren't going to the frame

Yeah, I didn't want to tie into the frame if I didn't have to. I like the idea of just bracing to the body.

What kind of bracing on the back side? Gusset type or more like diagonal tubing?

I tried to find pics but couldn't find any. Just a normal type gusset but I brace the floor by welding large pieces of 1/8 to the bottom of the floor. It's the surface area that is key. Takes a long time to do it right but we'll worth the effort.

Is this on your burb?

didn't really come across any good done shots for ya.. but here's some of my 2 x 4 integrated one... thru the process somewhat...

it's actually mounted directly to the cab supports too... ends at the sectioned fender and qrter openings...

I did exactly that on the old flatbed. Im considering doing it on the s10 now too but with poly bushings ran back to the frame also.

Sounds like this is the route I am going to end up going with. Any idea if this is 2x6 or 2x5?
