I'll post pics here and in my build thread once I actually do it.

Cool, I am seriously considering the same thing. My truck is from Atlanta and absolutely gorgeous except the roof which is from the sun. So to make it look good I need to do a ton of work or replace it. Of course it is just under 8' up so who will see it, but still a convertible conversion would be good timing. :dunno:

Yeah, I've always wanted to do a full vert conversion and this seems like a good time. I've got a '75 windshield frame already.

Doing that conversion at the same time you're doing the cage could have some advantages for final welding on the cage.

4wheelinfury, could you post or email me pics of the rear bars that Kert added to your kit? I'm curious to see them. Also, did these come in multiple pieces to weld together (seems like they would)?

Thanks :thumb:

They were one piece bars. They probably could have been shortened by piecing them but it wasn't gona make any difference on shipping at that point. They were left as one piece and shipped separately from the big box.

Its a little late, but finally got to do my floors, and was able to put the cage in! Love it curt!! Very good quality, and have gotten a bunch of comments on it and the bumper!!

Good to hear and thank you!

Love the use of ratchet straps. They can really help if you don't have a bunch of extra hands.

Oh ya! I do all my stuff by myself a lot of times and so ratchet straps were a must! I've gotten a ton of compliments on it and how it fit, all credit to you haha. I get a ton of compliments on the bumper as well!! Very pleased!

Another great video. Now if only my dash was out too. :doah::haha::thumb:

....just throw a diy4x dash in there!

Oh trust me, I want one soooo bad BUT the cage project (when complete) will hit the limit of my budget for a few months. :doah:Unless you want to sponsor me or start that whole revolving truck account thing. :thumb:

Btw, going to call you Monday about some "custom" cage floor plates.

I'll be there. Talk to ya on Monday.

So can the B pillar be made for a Burb ?

I don't know any reason we can't morph it for a burb. I think it'd be the tallest of the b pillars. No raised floor like the pickup and no topper bolts to stay below.

One catch, I don't have a suburban here to get any final dimensions on. I'll look around and see whats around. I think I know somebody that has one.

An option to the cage or available separately,
