round 205 adapter w/ ford 205 case

If I have a th400, a round type np205 adapter and a ford np205, will it work?

Just thinking out loud.

I'm 99 percent sure they are different bolt circles. I'll be at the shop later and I'll measure them to be sure.

Well, I'll be damned, the bolt circle is the same; TH400 adapter bolts right up! Notch the adapter for the shift rail, and you're good to go. No, I haven't had time to work on the burb, been working on the tow rig and acquiring big blocks with the gas price scare.

the ford 31 spline case has the same size bearing as the 10 spline chevy cases i belive so im not sure how easy it would be to swap in a 32 spline input

yup i have a 31 spline input and bearing sitting in my garage..
i'm pretty sure its the larger bearing setup.

The Ford cases do have the large bearing .
