Rumble Bee. (Getting cannibalized for the greater good)

Looks like it may be a stock cross member moved forward.....:dunno:

Going by the holes in the frame anyway

It is all stock, that pic @jekquistk5 pointed out threw me for a loop too. But you crossmember is where it is supposed to be. Although, with the crack, it should be fixted.

Yah I knew it was in front of the mounts, but I figured you could see some from that angle. Guess not.

Yeah I've seen a couple of the cross members that look like they have better clearance. ... May make one.

Eventually I want to make up some awesome travel. For now clearance don't matter. I'll weld n fish plate it for now

I was planning on buying a winch with OT money. But I realized I need to be able to drive it to even need a winch lol... So I'm getting a rebuild kit for the 14b and a battery because I used it's crappy old one as a core for my mom's Jeep battery.

When I do get a winch (later this month) I'm probably getting this one

Few hundred more would get me in a warn or something... But I'll try these and see. With the type of wheelin I get to do anymore it'll rarely get used anyway.

Well parts are on the way.
I should have my mom's Jeep out of the shop in the next couple days, then the Bee goes in there to do a multitude of things.
I have 2 weeks off starting Saturday so I'm going to work on this list,,,

Change the bearings in the rear diff.
Finish the rear bumper/lights.
Change the gas tank and try to get the gauge working.
Get the wipers on and speeds figured out.
Change as many U joints as I can get to/afford.

And then just do a full on crawl over and under tieing up loose ends and seeing what all else I have to do at some point.

Oh.... I forgot to add a heavy dose of :hack: and :grind:to that list above lol.. if I don't do it soon the tires will do it themselves:doah:

Finally getting to this thing and vacation is almost over:doah:
Taillights in and working.
One front fender cut.
Pinion out.
And that's it lol. After working 12hr days most of Oct and Nov, it's been hard to get up and do anything.

I did learn some stuff too though. It's got an open diff, 3.73 gears:frown1:, and I think the chassis is a 76.

I believe the chassis may be.... I don't know really. Frame hasn't been modified. Title says 86 k20. Cab is not original to the frame for sure...

And I'm not sure I've ever seen a short box k20..:dunno:

That's kind of making it hard to figure out what I got. Like for Ujoints and such.

Factory short box wouldn't have a 14FF. Axle was a swap. Axle is a 76, you'd have to take pics of the front frame horn to tell early or lat frame...
